ValleyFest
ENDED FEB 28, 2010 Located on the beautiful North Shore Mountains, the District of North Vancouver will be ground zero for a special community celebration during the Games. ValleyFest is a 17 day event taking place in Lynn Valley and will feature live entertainment, childrens activities as well as a large screen TV broadcasting various sporting events. Join a 3 on 3 ball hockey game, try "kurling" or participate in their outdoor playground and cafe. Explore the history of sport and heritage at the Discovery Zone interpretive centre. Local organizers assure CityCaucus.com this will be a family-friendly venue that will be fun for all ages. The venue is free and will be programmed between Feb 12-28th. All events are taking place in Lynn Valley Village Square. It is beside the library and completely accessible by bus. For more information about ValleyFest click here. what a fantastic free venue. Lots to do and see especially for the kids.
Our Moms and Toddlers group went to Valleyfest on a Tuesday morning and had a super time dancing to the band, making lanterns, playing curling and doing art work! A really great morningwas had by all! To be recommended. Thank you to the organizers.

We are really looking forward to all the events ValleyFest has to offer. We will take in the Torch Relay with our children and look forward to spending a lot of time at the Lynn Valley Village Square. Go Canada!
We live close by and will visit there regularly. I am a 2010 Volunteer and will see torch arrive and then off to see rehersal of the opening ceremony at B.C. Place. Busy day full of fun.
