Kelly Cannell of Coast Salish Arts, located at the Vancouver Art Gallery front lawn
One unsung attraction that has been drawing crowds is the log house with a green roof on the front lawn of the Vancouver Art Gallery. I call it the "Cedar Carving Pavilion". Inside you can see a lot of beautiful art works by Musqueum artist Susan Point and others from Coast Salish Arts. Point is a Coast Salish artist who lives at the Musqueum Reserve in southwest Vancouver. She's been awarded the Order of Canada among many other awards. The short line-up to get inside the log house is worth it for the beautiful odour of fresh-carved cedar alone, but the art is magnificent. The house is located right at the corner of Howe & Georgia Street.
